The bible tells us that God reveals himself to you and I through nature. He shows us his power and divinity through the universe around us. Not only is this message received through the 5 senses, but through a 6th sense that he placed within us. If we are puzzled with our internal thoughts we need to try seeing it from that perspective, and it will make the most sense to us.
If we can’t see it from that perspective it is likely because we are resisting the implanted consciousness of God. Why has every civilization developed some sort of “great spirit” philosophies? Here lies your answer.
